I couldn't resist the chance of "hanging with my gnomies" (aka my blogging friends) and knocking out my girls' Easter dresses in one fell swoop with the Gnome Matter What! {Blog Tour}.

This fabric line features whimsical gnomes, snails and other lawn ornaments. It also incorporates gorgeous sketched blooms and soft spring colors of lilac, peach, seafoam, cream, and gray.  It was hard to narrow down my fabric choices, but in the end, I chose to feature Set Vines in Lilac and Sketchbook Garden in Natural.

After I selected my fabrics, I turned to Little Lizard King to find two patterns to best showcase the prints.  Immediately, the Bloom Collection, LLK's newest releases, caught my eye.  This collection features 3 dresses, each named after a famous garden.  Since I only have the two girls, I enlisted their help in choosing the patterns.

My oldest daughter chose the Versailles Dress, which also comes in maxi length.  We both thought that the Set Vines in Lilac was a perfect match of "sweet" for this pattern.  I *almost* made it maxi length, but I am hoping to squeeze in a doll version of this before Easter so I wanted to save the leftovers.

Gah! I am SO in 💜 this gorgeous back detailing of the Versailles Dress by Little Lizard King. The ruffles create a dainty and delicate look which shows off the softness of the fabric. In the pattern, I followed the sizing chart and instructions for grading the pattern down to match my daughter's petite waist. I love how it fits her perfectly!

My youngest daughter was drawn to the Monet Dress -- "but no ruffles, Mommy". The Monet dress features a pieced bodice, so I used the Set Vines in Lilac as the contrasting side panels and used the Sketchbook Garden in Natural as the main print for the dress. At 6 years old, she has become uber picky about what she wears. This dress recieved all the smiles!!

The back detailing mimics the front bodice. This dress is really easy to put together and fast (especially without the ruffles).

Gnome Matter What! is such a fun line of fabric. It is so pretty in person and sews up beautifully. My girls definitely love their Easter dresses and I'm thankful they are finished with days to spare...lol.
